Birds make fascinating photographic subjects. Many are very beautiful and their behavior is always interesting. This one is the African Grey Crowned Crane. It is a spectacular – and very large – bird. This one was busy preening itself when it struck this unusual pose which accentuated the beauty of its feathers and its magnificent color.
